Rass Kass’s Creative Flow of Events
The artist is one of a kind. He thoughtfully kept his name inspired by an Ethiopian emperor Rass Kassa Mircha before he became the emperor. Just like a king, he lives his lifestyle with royalty and dedication!
His career took a creative start with his debut album “Trick or Treated” in 1991. D.J. Battle cat produced this. He appeared alongside B.OX., Torche and Ganjah K. After this, his independent single rap song “Remain Anonymous” earned him a name in The Source Magazine. His rap quotes were featured there. The artist derived his inspiration from numerous emcees and rappers like Rakim, Scarface, Ice Cube and KRS One. Their style influenced him thoroughly. But the artist had his unique rhythm. His little endeavour began with “Soul on Ice”.
This was released in 1996. An amazing fact about the album is that the name is taken from a book by “Eldridge Cleaver”. This album was a nice hit as it addressed racial relations. This work was followed by the famous “Assassination”. This featured many popular guest appearances like Twista, Mack 10, Dr Dre and others.
