While in the group, he became quite popular for having strong energy and a unique hoarse voice. Eventually, he became the leader of the group and released a few albums with them before going on to begin on his own.

Sticky Fingaz attended the High School of Art and Design in Manhattan, New York, United States. Sticky Fingaz is also well known for his roles on television, most particularly for his lead role as Blade in Blade, a television series where he was the hybrid human and vampire hunter. He made his acting debut in 1993 by playing a role in the movie Strapped.

He made other theatrical film appearances and even had feature film credits. His role as Tyrone in the movie Next Friday also made him very popular. He didn’t make his television debut till 1995 when he played in New York Undercover and Nash Bridges. He has also written, produced, and directed movies.
